Interview with Professor David Buckingham

Recently, the review of the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance (COIAO) has created lots of controversial debates in society. Meanwhile, I have the honour of interviewing Professor David Buckingham on December 14. Professor Buckingham, who is a famous scholar, directs the Centre for the Study of Children, Youth and Media at the Institute of Education, London University. His research focuses on people's interactions with electronic media, and on media education.

During the interview, Professor Buckingham has made lots of remarkable comments on the review of the COIAO, focusing especially on new media platforms. Although the interview was short, it really inspired me very much.

I do hope that more critical and well-informed discussions on the review of the COIAO will be aroused in the society.
